CDL Truck Driver

About the Role

Drivers operate heavy‑duty trucks equipped with front, side, or rear‑end lift attachments to transport waste or recyclable containers that can exceed 1,000 pounds. Responsibilities include collecting residential waste, handling roll‑off containers, navigating high‑traffic roads, alleys, and tight industrial sites, and performing precise backing maneuvers. • Operate vehicles in compliance with WM safety policies, OSHA, DOT, and all applicable laws. • Complete pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections and document findings using the DVIR. • Report unsafe conditions, incidents, accidents, or property damage to the Operations Manager or Dispatch immediately. • Notify management of service interruptions such as closed streets, heavy receptacles, or safety hazards. • Attend all scheduled training programs, briefings, and meetings as required. • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to improve route efficiency and adopt best practices. • Communicate customer requests promptly to Operations Manager or Dispatch. • Dump all receptacles and ensure the customer’s location is left clean and free of debris. • Follow assigned routes, complete end‑of‑day documentation, and check out as directed. • Assist fellow drivers as needed to meet customer service goals.

What You Bring

The position is based at 1580 E Elwood St., Phoenix, AZ. Candidates with at least one year of CDL driving experience in waste collection or local delivery are highly preferred. The role offers $25.50 per hour (depending on experience) and a full‑time day shift with required weekend availability.
