About the Role

In this position, you will advance your career by independently handling complex high‑voltage transmission line designs while also mentoring and training less‑experienced engineers and designers. You will manage multiple project tasks, ensure schedule and budget compliance, and conduct site visits throughout design, construction, and as‑built phases. • Prepare technical deliverables for conceptual and detailed transmission line designs using PLS‑CADD and foundation software (L‑Pile, MFAD, Caisson). • Coordinate construction release packages, including plans, profiles, load trees, assemblies, stringing charts, foundation schedules, and bills of material. • Assign tasks, guide junior team members, and conduct quality control reviews of EIT/Designer work. • Identify and implement learning opportunities for junior staff through job shadowing, assignments, "show and tell," and lunch‑n‑learn sessions. • Perform quality control reviews of other teams' projects as needed. • Provide engineering input on design issues and conduct analyses to develop design options. • Assist in preparing cost estimates and specifications. • Attend client stakeholder meetings and lead design reviews. • Contribute to development of project man‑hour estimates and task schedules. • Manage multiple project tasks while maintaining schedule and budget awareness. • Conduct site visits during design, construction, and as‑built phases, including field reviews and construction observation.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or related engineering. • 4+ years of transmission line engineering experience in utilities or renewables. • Proficiency with PLS‑CADD and analysis of transmission structures. • Knowledge of industry design codes (NESC, IEEE, ASCE, ACI). • Experience preparing specifications, drawings, and engineering documents. • Strong communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office. • Experience with voltages 69 kV–500 kV (765 kV a plus). • Ability to coordinate with internal/external stakeholders (environmental, real estate, construction, etc.). • Experience estimating project man‑hours, costs, and schedules. • Background in foundation design using L‑Pile, Caisson, or MFAD. • Experience with renewable developer interconnections (preferred). • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. • Professional Engineer (PE) license. • Experience executing projects in the Power Market sector. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and design software (PLS‑CAD, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, AutoPipe, Revit).
