About the Role
The Office Engineer supports project teams by aligning technical execution with budget and timeline goals for rail transportation projects, especially NYC transit. Responsibilities include managing scheduling, cost engineering, earned value management, and risk mitigation. • Develop and maintain master schedules using Primavera P6; perform critical path analysis. • Monitor budgets, track labor claiming, and evaluate cost variances using Earned Value Management (EVM). • Create reports and dashboards in Power BI or Excel for stakeholder insights. • Evaluate change orders and manage subcontract processes. • Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies. • Oversee document control and monitor procurement to align with schedules.

What You Bring
Physical requirements include willingness to travel in the U.S. and Canada, occasional overtime, and work in both office and job site environments. The role involves long periods of sitting, computer use, and occasional standing, walking, lifting, stooping, or bending. • 5–10 years of heavy civil construction experience, preferably in rail transportation. • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management; master’s preferred. • Experience with New York City transit projects and their requirements. • Expertise in Oracle Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel; JD Edwards a plus. • Strong analytical, forecasting, and problem‑solving skills. • Preferred certifications: PMP, PMI‑SP, or AACE. • Effective written and oral communication of technical data.
