About the Role

The Senior Mechatronics & Robotics Technician leads a team of service technicians in installing and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment, supports the Operations Maintenance Team by designing solutions to complex problems, and manages projects while training and mentoring both service and contract technicians. The role requires overseeing safety practices, maintaining and troubleshooting all conveyor systems and associated control components such as relay logic, ladder diagrams, photo‑eyes, motor starters, limit switches, proximity sensors and solenoids, and managing work orders with detailed data on labor, maintenance activities and parts used. • Ensure adherence to all safety protocols. • Troubleshoot conveyor systems and control hardware (relays, PLCs, sensors, motor starters). • Manage work orders, logging labor hours, maintenance actions, and parts consumption. • Lead preventative maintenance audits and mentor junior staff. • Foster collaborative relationships across the operations facility.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a high school diploma or equivalent and possess at least four years of experience with material handling equipment, preventative maintenance, and blueprint interpretation, as well as three years using a Computerized Maintenance Management System and two years programming PLCs. Experience in team‑lead capacities, vendor management, and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite are also required. Preferred qualifications include an associate degree or higher in a mechanical or electrical field and experience with robotic operation and maintenance. The position demands physical tasks such as reaching overhead, kneeling, squatting, climbing ladders, using aerial lifts, and lifting up to 50 lb while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment. • Minimum 4 years experience with material handling equipment and preventive maintenance. • Proficient in reading blueprints, using CMMS, and programming PLCs. • Demonstrated team‑lead experience with training and vendor coordination. • Associate degree in mechanical/electrical discipline; robotics expertise preferred. • Physical ability to lift 50 lb, work overhead, climb ladders, and use aerial lifts while wearing required PPE.
