Job Highlights
About the Role
As a CAD Drafter at nVent Management Company you will play a crucial role in creating and implementing innovative electrical solutions. You will collaborate with a diverse team and contribute to projects that prioritize safety and efficiency, testing your ambition and skills each day. You will translate customer specifications, drawings, and sales quotes into comprehensive structural and mechanical drawing packages, including floor plans, sections, elevations, part drawings, and anchor or lifting layouts. These drawings support the design and installation of electrical systems across a variety of projects. Working closely with the project engineer, you will ensure all required documentation is complete, prepare requests for information when needed, and revise drawings to meet code requirements and internal standards. Coordination across departments helps improve quality, reduce errors, and increase overall efficiency. Your technical tasks will include providing dimensioned locations for cable trays, lighting, grounding, and other equipment, developing attachment method details, and creating detailed drawings for rack‑mounted plates, bend and weld specifications, and sheet‑metal flat patterns used in prefabricated buildings and control panels.
