About the Role
In this position you will assist the Property Manager in maintaining smooth property operations, handling lease agreements, move‑ins, renewals, and resident insurance, as well as processing security‑deposit refunds and ensuring accurate resident records. You will also address delinquent accounts, initiate eviction processes when necessary, and promote resident retention programs. You will provide managerial support by creating monthly reports on renewals, rents, leasing, and maintenance, training office staff, taking minutes at meetings, and handling payment collections and purchase orders. Coordination of vendor relationships, invoicing, and lease oversight will also be part of your responsibilities. • Address delinquent accounts, file eviction documents, and attend court hearings as needed. • Process apartment rentals, move‑ins, lease renewals, and resident insurance. • Maintain accurate resident records, including account setups, charges, credits, and security‑deposit refunds. • Promote resident retention programs and resolve resident concerns promptly. • Generate monthly reports covering renewals, rents, leasing activity, and maintenance. • Train and coach office staff and take minutes at staff meetings. • Manage vendor relationships, ensure proper invoicing, and oversee lease compliance. • Collect and process all payments and purchase orders. • Ensure adherence to Fair Housing laws and company policies.

What You Bring
We are seeking a reliable and ambitious Assistant Property Manager who is passionate about property management, possesses excellent communication skills, and is eager to assist with daily operations. This role offers the opportunity to support leasing, collections, resident services, and maintenance oversight while delivering high-quality service to residents and staff. Compliance with federal and state Fair Housing laws and company policies is essential, and you will be expected to uphold these standards in all interactions. The role may require travel between properties, so a valid driver’s license, good driving record, and auto insurance are required. • Requirements: 2–3 years of property‑management or sales/customer‑service experience. • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and auto insurance for property travel. • Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. • Detail‑oriented with ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.
