About the Role

The Senior Quantity Surveyor provides commercial support to project teams, maintaining commercial information and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements. The role involves liaising with customers and third parties on variations, claims, and additional payments. Key responsibilities span technical, people, process, and customer domains: delivering accurate cost and cash‑flow reporting, managing forecasts, updating commercial plans, advising on risk and profit optimisation, handling contract amendments, claims and disputes, reviewing tender documents, and leading and coaching staff to improve performance. • Ensure robust, accurate, and timely cost and value reporting at project and business unit levels. • Maintain accurate cash‑flow reporting. • Conduct cost management and forecasting. • Update monthly CVR, cost, and commercial plans; accountable for commercial performance. • Provide commercial advice to minimise risk, achieve best value, and maximise profit margins. • Advise on contract amendments, variations, and procurement to meet time, quality, and cost targets. • Manage claims and disputes using appropriate resources, complying with contractual terms and timelines. • Review tender/contract documents with legal, assess risks, support bid preparation, and negotiate contract clauses. • Deliver pre‑ and post‑contract quantity surveying services, including cost estimating, monthly accounts, forecasts, claim analysis, and final account settlement. • Lead, coach, and develop project engineers and staff to enhance effectiveness. • Review and implement improved administrative procedures to maximise gross margins. • Ensure compliance with organisational forms and internal approvals per company policies. • Act as the interface between customers and procurement/project teams to meet budget and programme requirements. • Encourage and support subordinates. • Provide training and coaching.

What You Bring

Candidates must have extensive experience in quantity surveying/commercial management, knowledge of FIDIC, and a proven track record on large‑scale projects. Strong English communication skills, proficiency in MS Office, and preferably Middle‑East experience are required, along with teamwork, leadership, and negotiation competencies. • Majority of experience must be in quantity surveying/commercial management. • Must have knowledge of FIDIC. • Proven success managing commercial aspects of large‑scale projects. • Excellent communication skills; fluency in English required. • Middle‑East experience preferred. • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project). • Demonstrate teamwork. • Demonstrate effective communication. • Skilled in negotiating.
