About the Role

• Assist with startup, commissioning, and re-commissioning of pneumatic/electrical/electronic customer systems. • Maintain accurate As-Built drawing packages and update Visio, Excel, and Word as needed. • Perform calibrations using basic electronic test equipment such as multimeters, network terminals, and laptops. • Support static and dynamic commissioning of software programming for building automation networks. • Set up operator workstations and install associated software. • Perform daily job database backups as directed. • Assist with turnover to service and track job progress, informing lead project personnel. • Keep project management updated on concerns and issues. • Complete paperwork on time, including timesheets, expense reports, work orders, on‑site documentation, and status reports. • Communicate with lead project personnel upon arrival and departure from the site.

What You Bring

We are seeking a results-oriented, customer-focused Field Engineer Intern to help continue our legacy of innovation. This role combines technical skills with a passion for serving customers, offering hands-on experience with building automation systems. • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a minimum 3.0 GPA. • US citizen or authorized to work in the US without sponsorship. • Valid driver’s license and insurable by company insurance. • Willingness to travel more than 50% of the work week, primarily local with occasional overnight stays. • Ability to climb ladders or use lift equipment over 8 ft and lift items up to 50 lb. • Basic understanding of control logic. • Knowledge of DDC control theory and HVAC/control applications. • Prior experience in HVAC or building automation.
