About the Role
As an HVAC Electrical Controls Installer under specific supervision, you will perform routine installation and checkout on various systems using codes, company procedures, engineering drawings, and personal analysis. You will work with prime electrical contractors as required and develop a positive interface with customers to ensure confidence and satisfaction. You will install raceways, cables, and wiring to meet codes and customer requirements, mount and terminate control equipment, and perform wiring checkouts with test instruments. You may assist sales with electrical estimates for retrofit projects and will keep management informed of job progress, complete required paperwork, and provide feedback to engineering to keep as‑built drawings current. Additionally, you will resolve installation conflicts, communicate with customers on site, adhere to Johnson Controls safety policies, and perform other related duties as assigned. • Install raceways, cables, and wiring per code and customer requirements. • Mount and terminate control equipment. • Perform wiring checkouts using test instruments. • Assist sales with electrical estimates for retrofit projects. • Keep management informed of job progress and issues. • Complete paperwork such as timesheets, expense reports, and on‑site documentation. • Provide feedback to engineering and maintain current as‑built drawings. • Resolve installation conflicts or escalate to management. • Communicate with customers on arrival and before departing the site. • Adhere to Johnson Controls safety programs and policies. • Determine scope of installation materials and work independently.

What You Bring
The position requires an electrical apprenticeship or formal training, a journeyman‑level electrical license, and demonstrated ability to read and interpret drawings. Candidates must have working knowledge of local codes as they apply to controls, experience determining installation material scope, and the ability to work independently.
