About the Role

The role focuses on designing and developing PCB artwork that meets customer‑specific technical, cost, and market requirements. The incumbent often serves as the technical or project leader for small initiatives, applying core engineering principles and creative thinking to stack‑up design, bill of materials, and component placement for efficient routing. Layouts, detailed drawings, and schematics are produced using ECAD tools such as Altium or Allegro. Responsibility includes planning, executing, and closing assigned activities while coordinating with manufacturing, product teams, PCB fab vendors, and suppliers to resolve Design‑for‑Manufacturing, Design‑for‑Testing, and Design‑for‑Assembly issues. The engineer organizes and leads smaller projects, ensures all PCB design and review processes are understood and followed, and builds strong stakeholder relationships to define quality levels based on IPC standards. • Design PCB artwork meeting technical, cost, and market requirements. • Lead small projects and act as technical/project leader. • Produce layouts, drawings, and schematics using Altium, Allegro, CADSTAR or PADs. • Plan, execute, and close assigned activities while managing schedules. • Coordinate with manufacturing, product teams, fab vendors, and suppliers to resolve DFM, DFT, and DFA issues. • Ensure compliance with PCB design, review processes, and IPC standards. • Prioritize tasks, act swiftly, and maintain focus on results. • Drive continuous improvements to reduce design cycle time and DPMO. • Build stakeholder relationships, define quality levels, and manage expectations. • Hold self and team accountable for deliverable dates; communicate schedule impacts of scope changes.

Key Responsibilities

  • ecad layout
  • dfm coordination
  • project lead
  • schedule management
  • stakeholder management

What You Bring

Continuous improvement is emphasized through identification of process bottlenecks, reduction of design cycle time and DPMO, and proactive communication of schedule impacts when scope changes occur. The individual contributor must prioritize tasks with speed and focus, hold self and others accountable for deliverable dates, and maintain high‑quality outcomes even under adverse circumstances. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering and proficiency in Altium (mandatory) plus experience with other ECAD tools. • Possess strong knowledge of components, footprint creation, IPC/UL/MIL standards, and PCB library management; familiarity with EMI/EMC, high‑speed design, and automotive high‑power layouts is a plus.

Requirements

  • bachelor's degree
  • altium
  • ecad tools
  • ipc standards
