About the Role

The Area Manager reports to the Regional Supervisor and is responsible for the full‑site operation of a housing community, including staffing, leasing, maintenance, financial performance, administration and risk management. As the on‑site leader, the manager ensures compliance with Asset Living policies, safety standards and fair‑housing regulations while driving resident satisfaction and operational efficiency. • Screen, hire, train, coach and develop on‑site staff; handle performance issues and ensure policy compliance. • Create and manage weekly/daily schedules for office and maintenance teams. • Develop annual operating budgets, monitor rent collections, reconcile vendor invoices and produce accurate financial reports. • Implement cost‑control measures and leasing strategies to maximize net operating income. • Design yearly marketing plans, oversee leasing processes, and maintain up‑to‑date lease documentation. • Address resident complaints, coordinate retention programs and ensure high resident satisfaction. • Supervise maintenance activities, conduct property inspections, and manage repairs and capital projects efficiently. • Lead emergency response teams and ensure swift handling of property emergencies.

What You Bring

The role requires the ability to stand or sit for extended periods, navigate ladders and confined spaces, lift up to 25 lb, and respond to emergencies outside regular hours. Reliable transportation is essential for on‑call duties. • Hold a high school diploma (BA preferred) with 1‑4 years housing industry experience; CAM or ARM certification preferred. • Demonstrate proficiency with on‑site software, basic computer skills, and knowledge of Fair Housing and OSHA regulations.

Benefits

Compensation is based on experience and qualifications, with a salary range of $60,000‑$85,000 plus a comprehensive total‑rewards package that includes medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k) matching, paid sick days, holidays and performance‑based bonuses. • Receive a benefits package including health, dental, vision, life, disability insurance, 401(k) match and performance bonuses.
