About the Role
As a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician you will support the Operations Maintenance team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building, and you will have the opportunity to install, maintain and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment while mentoring junior technicians. Your day-to-day will include promoting a safe working environment, completing preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical problems on belts, motors, photo‑eyes, relays and other MHE, maintaining positive relationships across the facility, tracking inventory, and handling up to 49 lb lifts during shifts that can last up to 12 hours with up to 20 % travel. What You Bring
Required qualifications are a high school diploma or equivalent, flexibility to work varied schedules including weekends, nights and holidays, and at least two years of experience repairing material handling equipment and conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures. Preferred qualifications include an associate degree or higher in a mechanical or electrical field, experience with automated conveyor systems and controls, ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics, knowledge of electrical and electronic principles, familiarity with OEM safety standards, CMMS experience, and exposure to robotic or electromechanical operation and maintenance. Physical demands involve repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, lifting parts and tools averaging 20 lb (occasionally up to 49 lb), standing and walking on concrete for extended periods, working in small or dusty spaces, exposure to varying temperatures, noise, vibration, heights, and moving bulky equipment.
