About the Role

The Critical Cooling Project Manager role is based in the UK, operating from Hatfield or Telford with travel across the country to support data centre infrastructure projects. The position focuses on delivering critical cooling solutions, including chillers, CRAC/CRAH units, and in‑row systems, for projects ranging up to £2 million. You will manage a portfolio of small to large cooling projects, collaborate with an established Services team of two other Project Managers, field engineers, and back‑office support, and ensure projects stay on schedule while maintaining customer satisfaction. • Plan, coordinate, and deliver cooling projects up to £2 m while meeting timeline, budget, and quality standards • Support projects up to 10–20 MW capacity for critical cooling systems • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders for seamless execution • Oversee maintenance and breakdown services for existing contracts • Provide timely on‑call support for critical cooling systems • Monitor service performance and implement continuous‑improvement initiatives • Provide technical expertise on chillers, CRAC/CRAH units, and in‑row cooling systems • Offer advisory support for cooling technologies • Assist field technicians and back‑office staff with troubleshooting and queries • Work closely with back‑office, field technicians, project managers, and customers to ensure smooth communication • Build strong client relationships and deliver tailored solutions

What You Bring

Ideal candidates possess a strong technical background in refrigeration or critical cooling systems and have project management experience in data centres or similar critical environments. The role requires flexibility for roughly 50 % travel, including occasional overnight stays, and the ability to clearly communicate technical challenges to both engineers and customers. • Strong technical foundation in refrigeration or critical cooling systems (chillers, CRAC, CRAH) • Experience managing projects within data centres or critical infrastructure (or transferable HVAC/refrigeration experience) • Willingness to travel UK‑wide (~50 % travel, occasional overnight stays) • Ability to translate technical challenges into clear plans for engineers and customers
