About the Role
Key responsibilities include preparing detailed 2D and 3D drawings of parts, assemblies, and sheet‑metal housings; using Inventor and Excel macros to improve CAD productivity; generating bills of material and pre‑lists; reviewing peer work for code and standard compliance; training junior drafters; and maintaining project schedules while applying HVAC and manufacturing knowledge. • Prepare 2D/3D drawings and sheet‑metal designs using Inventor. • Develop Excel macros to automate repetitive CAD tasks. • Generate bills of material and pre‑lists via computerized systems. • Review and verify peer work for compliance with codes and standards. • Train and mentor less‑experienced drafters. • Maintain project schedules and ensure drawing accuracy. • Apply HVAC principles and manufacturing constraints to designs. • Use mechanical design techniques to package devices independently.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate has at least seven years of sheet‑metal design experience, strong 3D modeling skills, the ability to mentor junior designers, and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required, and sponsorship is not available. Preferred qualifications include Autodesk Inventor expertise, experience on a manufacturing shop floor, and an associate degree. • Minimum 7 years of sheet‑metal design experience. • Proficient in 3D modeling and Microsoft Office suite. • Able to lead and train junior designers. • U.S. citizen or permanent resident (no sponsorship). • Preferred: Autodesk Inventor experience and shop‑floor exposure. • Associate degree required.
