About the Role

• Support programme development by producing early budgetary estimates. • Build effective relationships with portfolio team members to achieve team objectives. • Develop stakeholder relationships to ensure adoption of quantity surveying best practice. • Provide functional quantity surveying expertise to wider programme delivery businesses. • Review contract adherence across programme delivery. • Conduct contract compliance audits. • Assist the commercial function in evaluating and negotiating tenders, contract changes, and compensation events. • Support development of preliminary, initial, and main‑gate business case submissions. • Prepare senior‑management reports to aid decision‑making. • Act as contract‑specific quantity surveying expert for price validation, agreement, and dispute resolution. • Provide clerical and technical support as needed. • Manage junior team members effectively. • Maintain an entrepreneurial mindset to grow your career within Mace. • autonomously manage and monitor progress of plans and workstreams. • Safety first – champion a safe, diverse and inclusive environment, emphasizing wellbeing. • Create opportunity – champion continuous improvement and inspire people and teams to develop.

What You Bring

• Hold a professional qualification with at least five years post‑qualification experience. • Possess a degree, HND, or HNC and membership of a relevant professional body (CIOB, APM, RICS). • Demonstrate extensive MEP experience. • Have experience in large public‑sector organisations; defence or security experience is desirable. • Possess construction experience across all RIBA stages with decision‑making and advisory responsibilities. • Experience managing technical teams and collaborating with clients and contractors. • Show evidence of independent work adhering to procedures, orders, and instructions. • Hold NEC4 experience and accreditation. • Hold a valid security clearance or have no barriers to obtaining one. • Be familiar with Microsoft Project. • Client focus – own quality of deliverables, strategic outcomes and build long‑term client relationships.
