About the Role

The role is for a multi‑million‑pound project in Central London, delivering mechanical, electrical and public‑services (MEP) construction. The position is responsible for managing MEP delivery to meet time, budget, safety and quality targets while ensuring compliance with Mace standards and governance. Key duties include leading the MEP team, coordinating with clients, consultants and trade contractors, managing programme reviews, quality assurance, commissioning strategies, and project close‑out. The role also drives the use of digital technologies for productivity, identifies risks, produces mitigation plans and contributes to net‑zero carbon objectives. • Lead construction of MEP services, ensuring compliance with Mace standards. • Manage site environment, programme, health‑safety, quality and commissioning. • Liaise with clients, consultants, trade contractors and other team leaders. • Deploy strategic plans including prefabrication, commissioning and safety. • Review programme productivity, resolve issues and coordinate trades using digital tools. • Oversee quality assurance and ensure high‑level installation standards. • Prepare and implement delivery strategies, milestones, logistics and work sequencing. • Execute commissioning according to Mace standards, including IST, ATPs and soft landings. • Conduct productivity assessments, identify trends and mitigate critical‑path risks. • Drive project close‑out, delivering as‑built drawings, QA/snagging and commissioning. • Proactively identify risks and develop mitigation plans. • Contribute to net‑zero carbon transition by managing carbon emissions during delivery. • Provide visible leadership, make decisive decisions under pressure and set clear objectives. • Build and maintain stakeholder partnerships and influence outcomes.

What You Bring

Candidates must have a trade or technical engineering apprenticeship or equivalent graduate programme, formal engineering or construction qualifications (HNC/HND/BTEC), SMSTS and CSCS cards, and a proven track record delivering MEP projects of £25 million plus. Experience in building services or a specific engineering discipline is required. • Hold an engineering apprenticeship or graduate programme and HNC/HND/BTEC qualification. • Possess SMSTS and CSCS certification and experience on £25 m+ MEP projects. • Demonstrated proficiency in building services or a specific engineering discipline. • Motivate and influence teams, allocate workloads based on strengths and weaknesses.
