About the Role

As a Transportation (Highway/Roadway) Engineer, you will join this collaborative effort to design and deliver urban and rural highway projects, contributing technical expertise that moves people and goods safely and efficiently. • Serve under a Project Manager on highway/roadway engineering projects. • Oversee CAD Designers and junior engineers (EITs). • Prepare detailed engineering designs and alignment plans. • Participate from site feasibility analysis through final design and construction phases. • Assume project management duties and interact with clients as needed.

What You Bring

• Minimum three years of experience in roadway engineering design. • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field. • Professional engineering license (PE, P.Eng, or equivalent). • Proficient with highways CAD software such as Bentley ConceptStation, OpenRoads Designer, Autodesk Infraworks, or Civil 3D. • Strong knowledge of MS Office applications. • Excellent communication and organizational skills. • Experience with urban and rural interchanges, intersection design, traffic management, and transportation planning. • Demonstrated commitment to HDR’s employee‑owned and inclusive culture.
