Solution Architect S2P (SAP-MM)

About the Role

As a Solution Architect for SAP Service Management, you will be accountable for the design, integrity and quality of the SAP solution, managing the assigned workstream, handling Level 2 incidents, coordinating Level 3 changes, and ensuring the solution meets business requirements while continuously optimizing service operations. You will define the technical SAP architecture in collaboration with other Solution Architects, perform requirements engineering to distinguish standard functionality from enhancements or workarounds, and translate functional designs into detailed technical specifications. You will also support unit testing, user‑acceptance testing and defect resolution, establish non‑functional requirements, and drive continuous improvement by staying current on SAP innovations and documenting solutions. Collaboration with business stakeholders, users and project teams is essential to deliver cost‑effective SAP services, maintain compliance with internal and external regulations, and uphold Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity. • Design and maintain SAP solution architecture aligned with SAP standards and enterprise architecture principles. • Manage Level 2 incident resolution and coordinate Level 3 changes with the product team. • Lead functional design validation, translate requirements into detailed technical specifications, and review use case documentation. • Support unit testing, user acceptance testing, and defect resolution while defining non‑functional requirements such as performance and security. • Drive continuous improvement by staying current on SAP innovations, documenting solutions, and optimizing service operations. • Collaborate with business stakeholders, users, and project teams to deliver cost‑effective SAP services and ensure regulatory compliance. • Provide guidance and mentorship to temporary work teams and promote Hitachi Energy’s safety and integrity values.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold bachelor’s and master’s degrees, have at least ten years of relevant experience, possess strong decision‑making and issue‑resolution abilities, and be proficient in spoken and written English. The role also requires advising on SAP processes, supporting installation and optimization of SAP services, and providing guidance to temporary work teams. • Hold bachelor’s and master’s degrees with a minimum of ten years of relevant SAP solution architecture experience. • Demonstrate strong decision‑making and issue‑resolution skills. • Proficient in spoken and written English.
