About the Role
The Electrician will perform electrical repairs and maintenance, coordinate external vendors, and ensure all work meets client requirements, safety codes, and operational integrity. The role involves reviewing Methods of Procedure, scopes of work, and system feeds, verifying equipment readiness, and restoring systems to normal operation after maintenance or project activities. Coordination and documentation of NETA testing and infrared scanning are also required. In client service, the electrician communicates with client managers during scheduled and unscheduled electrical activities, responds to service requests and off‑hour emergency calls, monitors work orders, and works with vendors to ensure work meets BGIS and client standards while maintaining professional relationships. From an electrical technician perspective, the electrician reviews procedures and documentation to guarantee redundancy, secures and backs up critical equipment before work, performs onsite tasks as per service agreements, follows preventative maintenance plans, inspects wiring and switchgear, troubleshoots faults, recommends upgrades, orders parts, and maintains accurate documentation. • Communicate with client managers during all scheduled and unscheduled electrical activities. • Respond to client service requests and off‑hour emergency calls. • Monitor and update service requests in the work order management system. • Coordinate and oversee vendor and contractor work to meet BGIS and client standards. • Review Methods of Procedure, scopes of work, and system documentation for redundancy and proper electrical paths. • Verify that critical equipment is secured, backed up, and tested before any electrical work. • Perform onsite electrical tasks in accordance with client service agreements. • Execute preventative maintenance plans and restore systems to normal operation after work. • Inspect wiring, feeds, switchgear, distribution panels, and related critical infrastructure. • Troubleshoot electrical faults, evaluate conditions, and recommend upgrades as needed. • Order parts and supplies required for maintenance and repairs. • Maintain clean, accurate documentation of work performed and equipment status. • Coordinate, process, and document all NETA testing and infrared scanning activities. • Maintain a valid driver’s license and provide personal transportation for site visits.

What You Bring
Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, trade school certification or comparable training, a valid California Electrical License in good standing, and three to five years of journeyman‑level experience, preferably in mission‑critical environments. Candidates should understand redundancy, electrical distribution, and critical‑system operation, be able to read schematics, have experience with NETA testing and IR scanning, and possess strong communication and teamwork skills. The position requires cognitive and physical abilities to work in critical facilities, including focus, clear communication, rapid response, and safe navigation of uneven terrain and heights. A valid driver’s license, willingness to travel to local client sites, and ability to respond to off‑hour emergencies are essential. • Adhere to NFPA 70E, NEC/CEC, OSHA, and other applicable safety regulations. • Hold a valid California Electrical License in good standing. • Possess 3–5 years of journeyman‑level electrical experience, preferably in mission‑critical environments. • Demonstrate ability to read one‑lines, schematics, and technical documentation. • Exhibit strong communication, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills.
