About the Role

Position Summary: The technician is responsible for servicing HVAC mechanical equipment, performing system diagnostics and repairs, conducting equipment start‑ups, and providing advanced technical troubleshooting. They also perform inspections and quality‑control reviews on RK service work to ensure compliance, performance, and reliability. • Service, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems (RTUs, boilers, chillers, AHUs, VAVs, exhaust). • Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and control issues in large‑scale equipment. • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance for reliability, efficiency, and code compliance. • Troubleshoot building automation systems, controls, and sensors. • Read and interpret commercial blueprints, wiring diagrams, and control schematics. • Conduct detailed system inspections and identify deficiencies or potential failures. • Perform quality control inspections on completed service work to meet company standards. • Respond to emergency service calls to minimize downtime for commercial clients. • Accurately document service activities, findings, and repair recommendations. • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local mechanical codes. • Communicate technical information clearly with facility managers, engineers, and project teams. • Work in dusty, noisy, hazardous environments, at heights, confined spaces, and in all weather conditions.

What You Bring

This HVAC Service Technician role is ideal for a skilled, licensed professional who thrives on solving complex mechanical issues. You'll work independently on a wide range of systems, including RTUs, chillers, boilers, and more, while growing your career with a top‑tier, safety‑focused team at RK. • Hold and retain a relevant H/CFC universal license. • Experience with RTUs, boilers, MAUs, AHUs, fans, pumps, cooling towers, VAV/FPBs, automation systems, and chillers. • Understanding of hydronic systems and DX cooling circuits and components. • Lift and carry 51–75 lb occasionally, 31–45 lb frequently, and 16–22 lb constantly as required.
