About the Role
In this role you will oversee the operation of power‑plant systems, directing operators, making load adjustments, and ensuring safe, efficient performance. You will also monitor control panels, respond to abnormal conditions, and work to maximize efficiency while controlling costs. • Direct operators to start, stop, and adjust equipment such as fans, pumps, and regulators. • Monitor and adjust plant load, making changes as system demands require. • Take corrective actions to maintain safety, maximize efficiency, and minimize costs. • Inspect control panels, report abnormalities, and implement corrective measures. • Train operators and new controls employees on job duties and responsibilities. • Operate multiple remote combined‑cycle plants using SCADA controls. • Prepare and maintain LOTO clearances using eSOMS and SAP per safety protocols. • Work rotating shifts, respond to overtime and call‑outs, and follow PPE requirements.

What You Bring
The position requires a High School diploma or GED, the ability to work rotating shifts, overtime and call‑outs, and strict adherence to safety protocols. Candidates must have at least two years of control board experience on a large combined‑cycle or coal plant, have completed a relevant apprenticeship, and be able to pass written, practical, drug‑screening and security tests. • Possess at least two years of control board operator experience on a large combined‑cycle or coal plant and a completed apprenticeship. • Pass written and practical tests, drug screening, and obtain a security clearance.
