About the Role

The inspector will oversee work elements such as asphalt shimming, milling, reclaiming, filling, compacting, drainage improvements, striping, and other incidental items. This position requires coordination with contractors, daily reporting, material sampling, traffic maintenance monitoring, and photographic documentation of progress, all while adhering to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies. • Interface with contractors and attend meetings. • Mentor or supervise other inspectors on behalf of the Resident Engineer or Project Manager. • Complete daily reports and calculate unit‑price quantities. • Coordinate independent material sampling and testing. • Monitor maintenance of traffic. • Take and compile photographs to track daily progress. • Exercise ethical decision‑making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, adhering to WSP’s Code of Conduct.

What You Bring

Candidates should have a high school diploma, 0‑2 years of relevant experience, strong communication skills, the ability to read and interpret shop drawings and specifications, a valid driver’s license, and a proven safety record. Preferred qualifications include an associate degree in engineering or construction management, proficiency with MS Word, NETTCP HMA certification (or ability to obtain within three months), and hands‑on experience with construction‑management software such as Site, Field Manager, APPIA, Procore, or Bluebeam. • High School Diploma. • 0‑2 years of applicable experience. • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, design plans, and specifications. • Valid driver’s license. • Proven track record of workplace safety and compliance with WSP’s health, safety, drug/alcohol, and harassment policies. • Associate of Science degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred). • Proficiency with MS Word Suite. • NETTCP HMA certification or ability to obtain within three months. • Hands‑on experience with construction‑management software (e.g., Site, Field Manager, APPIA, Procore, IPD) and knowledge of Bluebeam.
