What You Bring

Although based in Derby, the position requires regular travel to various UK sites and potentially offshore platforms, working on 12‑hour shift patterns that may involve day or night duties. Deployments total roughly 90 days per year, with the ability to respond to emergent requests on less than 48‑hour notice, and the role entails periods of physical exertion around submarine structures. Candidates must have hands‑on engineering experience in machining, precision or bespoke equipment environments and be familiar with RVI techniques. A STEM degree, HND/HNC or equivalent apprenticeship, proficiency with Microsoft Office, a UK driving licence, and the ability to work unsupervised are essential, as is eligibility for a Security Check clearance and UK nationality. • Manage time independently, work unsupervised, and perform physically demanding tasks around submarines. • Hold a STEM degree or HND/HNC (or apprenticeship), a UK driving licence, and be eligible for Security Check clearance (UK national or MoD‑approved dual national).
