About the Role

As a Consulting Engineer, you will design complex cooling and HVAC systems—including air distribution, chiller plants, and alternative energy solutions—leveraging Building Information Modeling with Revit, while communicating effectively with internal and external design, client, and construction teams. You will gather and analyze data from sites, surveys, blueprints, schematics, and technical reports to support project development, and conduct research and inspections to ensure mechanical systems comply with applicable rules, standards, and permits. Working under senior engineers, you will participate in multidisciplinary teams to produce drawing and specification packages for architects, contractors, and owners, attend client meetings, coordinate with vendors, perform load calculations, design air distribution and hydronic systems, schedule equipment, and oversee construction administration and condition surveys. • Design complex cooling, HVAC, air distribution, chiller plants, and alternative energy systems • Utilize Revit for BIM modeling and project coordination • Collect and analyze site data, surveys, blueprints, and technical drawings • Conduct research and inspections to verify code and permit compliance • Perform heating and cooling load calculations • Create drawing and specification documents for architects, contractors, and owners • Coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, and attend client meetings • Select and schedule major equipment; oversee construction administration tasks

What You Bring

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering with a building systems emphasis, 5–7 years of relevant experience, EIT certification, proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, knowledge of building, mechanical, and energy codes, strong self‑leadership and critical‑thinking abilities, and can adapt to dynamic schedules; a master’s degree, PE license, and prior building design or construction experience are preferred. • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering with building systems focus • 5–7 years of mechanical design experience and Engineer‑in‑Training certification • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and knowledge of building, mechanical, and energy codes • Strong communication, self‑leadership, and critical‑thinking skills • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment • Preferred: Master’s degree, Professional Engineer license, prior building design or construction experience
