About the Role
Job ID 16925 is located in Mantua, OH. The Operator II is responsible for assembling or packing various products and performing required quality tests according to product specifications while meeting production demands. The role also includes recognizing basic equipment errors and either reporting them or performing simple troubleshooting tasks. In production, the Operator II must meet all Operator I requirements, operate and control auxiliary and semi‑automatic equipment, assist higher‑level operators, and use measuring tools to ensure quality specifications are met. The employee also helps train lower‑level operators, operates material handling and processing equipment, updates shop‑floor management systems, performs basic equipment troubleshooting, and can run multiple machines while maintaining output. The operator monitors workstations for low supplies, pulls materials from designated stock areas, transports materials to and from workstations using appropriate handling equipment, and notifies supervisors or material handlers when supplies reach reorder levels. Quality responsibilities include testing and inspecting produced items to verify compliance with specifications, reporting out‑of‑spec products to supervision or quality personnel, executing non‑conforming product procedures, isolating or reworking items that do not meet standards, and entering accurate data into the quality control system. Additional duties may involve 6S activities, participating in workshops, meetings, and cross‑functional training, as well as wearing required personal protective equipment and working different shifts when needed. • Operate auxiliary and semi‑automatic production equipment. • Assist higher‑level operators and train lower‑level staff. • Use measuring equipment to verify quality specifications. • Run multiple machines while maintaining required output. • Monitor workstations and replenish low supplies. • Transport materials using appropriate handling equipment. • Notify supervisors when supplies reach reorder levels. • Test and inspect products for compliance with specifications. • Report non‑conforming items to supervision or quality personnel. • Execute non‑conforming product procedures and rework items. • Enter accurate data into the quality control system. • Perform basic equipment troubleshooting tasks. • Participate in 6S activities, workshops, and cross‑functional training. • Apply basic reading, writing, arithmetic, and manual dexterity skills.

The ideal candidate possesses basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills, good manual dexterity for handling very small parts, the ability to perform repetitive functions, effective communication abilities, and the capacity to interpret work orders, instructions, blueprints, or drawings. A positive attitude, superior service mindset, and adherence to the highest quality standards are also essential.
