About the Role
• Perform new construction, maintenance, and repair of energized and de‑energized transmission lines. • String overhead wire and set poles and anchors. • Troubleshoot transmission system problems and identify primary/secondary voltages. • Operate wire tensioners, lifting and rigging equipment safely. • Climb poles, towers, and work at heights or in confined spaces. • Follow grounding, phasing‑stick, flag/tag, and minimum approach distance procedures. • Inspect and maintain company vehicles, tools, equipment, and PPE. • Conduct pre‑job and tailgate briefings and basic bucket rescue/escape. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and line clearances. • Identify wire sizes and required line clearances. • Travel long distances on short notice and work extended periods at various locations. • Work overtime and in inclement weather while adhering to safety rules.

What You Bring
The Transmission Class B Lineman is a semi‑skilled role responsible for construction, maintenance and repair of electrical transmission systems. The work is performed at various locations and may require travel to other states based on customer demands. The lineman works safely on both energized and de‑energized transmission work, strings overhead wire, sets poles and anchors, troubleshoots system problems, and handles high‑voltage equipment with care. They maintain company vehicles, tools and equipment, perform rigorous physical labor, and possess knowledge of voltage identification, grounding, phasing sticks, line clearances, wire sizes, climbing, rigging, and blueprint reading. Candidates must have at least three years of field experience, be able to read and communicate effectively in English, and obtain a Commercial Driver’s License permit within 60 days (CDL preferred). The role requires the ability to travel long distances on short notice, lift more than 50 lb, work overtime, and work outdoors in inclement weather while following safety rules. The position demands frequent standing, walking, climbing, lifting, and the use of hands and arms, as well as regular communication. Workers are exposed to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration, loud noise, and extreme weather conditions on construction sites. • Obtain a Commercial Driver’s License permit within 60 days (CDL preferred). • Lift more than 50 lb and perform rigorous physical labor. • Demonstrate self‑motivation, teamwork, and a customer‑oriented attitude.
