About the Role
This is a maintenance position with no per diem. Instrument technicians are responsible for installing, repairing, maintaining, and calibrating electronic equipment and gauges that control, regulate, or monitor mechanical systems. The role requires reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, isometric drawings, engineering and manufacturing instructions. Technicians install, repair, maintain, and calibrate electronic equipment, controls, and measuring devices, then test and analyze them for accuracy and functionality. They also perform preventative maintenance or calibration and complete reports on tests, repairs, and installations. • Install, repair, maintain, and calibrate electronic equipment and gauges. • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, isometric drawings, and P&IDs. • Test and analyze equipment for accuracy, perform preventative maintenance, and document work in reports. • Apply electrical theory to wiring and calibrating devices and work with precision instruments. • Perform work at heights up to 300 ft using proper fall protection and climb ladders or platforms.

What You Bring
Candidates must have at least four years of instrumentation experience, be able to read blueprints, and work on low- and high-pressure tubing and piping systems. They must possess the required tools and be proficient with precision instruments, and they must follow all company and project policies and procedures. Applicants must have four years of instrumentation experience or comparable knowledge and own all journeymen tools and associated power tools. They must interpret drawings, P&IDs, and other documentation, verify performance using testing and measuring instruments, and make necessary adjustments. Knowledge of electrical theory, gauge operation, and measurement devices is required. Work may involve heights up to 300 feet, climbing ladders, stairs, or platforms while using proper fall protection. The job can be performed outdoors in heat, cold, rain, snow, or wind, and required personal protective equipment includes a hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, fall‑arrest harness, face shield, and ear plugs. The position requires NCCER Industrial Instrumentation Fitter certification.
