About the Role

The position is responsible for end‑to‑end project controls service delivery, monitoring performance with KPIs, and leading multiple functions including risk, schedule, cost, scope and change management. You will act as the day‑to‑day interface with the client, ensuring projects meet time, cost and quality targets and align with the conditions of appointment. The role also involves contributing to technical services delivery, supporting the centre of expertise in developing and implementing PMO project controls, and mentoring a team of specialists to foster junior staff development. • Deliver end‑to‑end project controls for large, complex infrastructure programmes. • Apply performance management techniques and KPIs to improve project outcomes. • Lead risk, schedule, cost, scope and change management functions. • Influence senior stakeholders to enhance performance and meet client objectives. • Serve as primary interface between project team and client, ensuring delivery on time, budget and quality. • Support the centre of expertise in developing and implementing PMO project controls services. • Mentor and develop a team of specialist project controls staff. • Ensure compliance with SOX controls where applicable.

What You Bring

We are seeking Director‑level Project Controls professionals to lead delivery on major UK infrastructure projects in sectors such as rail, aviation, power, water/utilities, highways or defence. The role requires a proven background in complex, large‑scale programmes. Candidates must hold a relevant technical degree with management qualifications and have experience in planning, scheduling, cost and risk management on complex construction projects. Strong communication skills and the ability to guide senior stakeholders are essential. • Hold a relevant technical degree and management qualifications. • Demonstrated experience in planning, scheduling, cost management and risk/control on complex projects. • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
