About the Role

You will be a visible and trusted representative of the business, building and maintaining strong relationships across the Buildings market and positioning the company as a thought leader and trusted advisor. You will lead a large, diverse team—setting clear direction, communicating consistently and empowering people to perform in a fast‑moving market. You’ll mentor senior leaders, grow emerging talent and build strong succession pipelines that lift capability across the business, all while fostering a high‑performance culture built on accountability, collaboration and shared results. Commercially, you will drive growth and profitability across the Buildings portfolio, overseeing operational performance and ensuring delivery excellence, client satisfaction and overall efficiency. • Champion a collaborative and safe workplace culture, managing people pragmatically and promoting wellbeing and health across teams and locations. • Lead delivery of profitable, quality‑controlled projects that meet client expectations, identify further opportunities, and contribute to significant projects. • Drive commercial success and timely project delivery through effective resource planning, succession strategies, compliance with systems and procedures, and disciplined monthly project and client management data. • Build and nurture impactful client relationships, mentor the team, and collaborate with Client Directors and national Market Leaders to enhance market presence. • Lead coordination of pursuits and winning work, advocate for capabilities across engineering, management and development, and make informed bid/no‑bid decisions to drive commercial strategy, including use of Global Delivery Services. • Mentorship and guidance of staff for professional development.

About you: you will have both a personal and professional passion for the Buildings market with an excellent track record in delivering projects in a commercial/consultancy environment.
