About the Role

Based in the Bay Area or Orange County, CA, the position is responsible for stakeholder engagement, multidisciplinary team leadership, financial targets, safety performance, business development, and mentorship of junior staff. • Build and execute stakeholder engagement plans, aligning expectations across internal and external parties. • Lead multidisciplinary teams, set project vision, foster collaboration, and resolve conflicts. • Manage complex IH projects with multiple subcontractors, changing conditions, and competing priorities. • Achieve financial performance targets (NIBT, margins, DSO), ensure timely invoicing and AR oversight. • Ensure project quality and zero accidents for health & safety performance. • Support business development through proposals, cost estimating, and value‑creation identification. • Procure follow‑on work and strengthen client relationships. • Mentor and develop junior and mid‑level staff, identify emerging PM talent, and contribute to Weston’s PM community. • Lead advanced IH assessments: sampling strategies, exposure evaluations, air/noise monitoring, IAQ assessments, and complex hazard evaluations. • Perform and oversee qualitative and quantitative fit testing and IH program implementation. • Serve as senior technical reviewer ensuring accuracy, regulatory compliance, and high‑quality deliverables. • Conduct EHS/IH audits and provide expert regulatory guidance. • Produce clear technical reports for client and regulatory audiences. • Maintain active professional engagement and stay current with IH standards and best practices. • Assemble, lead, and develop cross‑functional project teams. • Manage scope, schedule, budget, risk, and change on complex IH projects. • Communicate proactively with clients and stakeholders regarding project status and decisions. • Ensure compliance with Weston purchasing, subcontracting, quality, and H&S requirements. • Partner with project support specialists for smooth execution. • Build and maintain trusted client relationships at multiple organizational levels. • Contribute to proposals, pricing strategies, and capture planning as a seller‑doer. • Identify opportunities for follow‑on work and expanded service offerings. • Represent Weston through professional involvement and technical leadership. • Mentor and supervise IH staff and emerging PMs, providing coaching and performance feedback.

The Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) Senior Project Manager leads complex industrial hygiene consulting engagements, combining advanced technical expertise with senior‑level project leadership. The role acts as a seller‑doer, handling client engagement, project execution, financial performance, and talent development while building trust across clients, Weston leadership, subcontractors, and project teams. Candidates must hold a CIH certification, a bachelor’s degree in a related field, and have over ten years of project management experience plus seven years of IH/EHS experience. Required skills include advanced IH sampling, regulatory expertise, seller‑doer experience, strong communication, financial management, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree, leadership in PM or IH communities, and consulting experience with diverse portfolios. • Anticipate changing project conditions and implement corrective actions. • Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) credential. • Bachelor’s degree in IH, Public Health, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, or related discipline. • 10+ years of project management experience leading complex, multi‑stakeholder projects. • 7+ years of IH/EHS experience (advanced degrees may reduce years). • Expertise in IH sampling, exposure assessment, IAQ, noise monitoring, and hazard evaluations. • Strong regulatory knowledge and ability to serve as qualified technical reviewer. • Demonstrated seller‑doer experience including proposals and client engagement. • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills. • Ability to travel for client sites and team collaboration; capable of field work and complying with H&S requirements. • Proven ability to mentor and develop technical and PM staff. • Strong financial management skills, overseeing profitability metrics and AR. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and changing project conditions. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office. • Preferred: advanced degree in IH or related field. • Preferred: leadership experience within PM or IH Communities of Practice. • Preferred: consulting experience with diverse client portfolios.
