About the Role
The role focuses on delivering high‑quality project controls and ensuring safety, cost, and schedule performance across capital projects. You will work closely with clients and stakeholders to monitor progress and drive continuous improvement. • Champion safety, quality, cost, programme, sustainability, and compliance standards. • Design and implement PMO and project controls frameworks for assigned projects. • Build expertise and network with clients, contractors, and consultants. • Provide tactical and technical project controls advice to clients. • Act as primary interface with clients, stakeholders, and consultants throughout project stages. • Value contractor monthly applications, including measured works and materials. • Evaluate and negotiate variations, preparing substantiating documentation. • Manage post‑contract cost variances, change control, cost checking, and valuations. • Produce performance reports covering KPIs, risk, and resource analysis. • Review monthly spend and schedule data to achieve KPIs. • Maintain professional membership (e.g., MRICS/RICS) progressing toward fellowship. • Provide direction and management of large, diverse teams. • Manage relationships with key senior stakeholders effectively.

Mace is seeking project controls professionals at all levels to join us as we expand our life sciences, technology, and manufacturing teams working on capital projects in Indianapolis. These roles support the delivery of complex, high‑value projects across the region. There will be several opportunities over the next few months, and we are also open to applications from outside Indianapolis from candidates with the right to work in the US without sponsorship. Candidates willing to work a fly‑in‑fly‑out remote and on‑site model will be considered. Candidates should hold a relevant degree in construction management, engineering, quantity surveying or a related field, and possess professional accreditation such as MRICS/RICS. Strong communication, analytical abilities, and knowledge of value engineering and contractual frameworks are essential. Additional strengths include commercial and financial acumen, experience leading large, diverse teams, and the ability to manage senior stakeholder relationships. Awareness of carbon and sustainability considerations for projects is also valued. • Hold a degree in construction management, engineering, quantity surveying or related field (MS/MBA preferred). • Demonstrate strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills. • Know value engineering, life‑cycle costing, and construction contractual frameworks. • Possess experience in pharma, technology, or similar manufacturing sectors. • Have experience with EPMO systems such as Unifier or Procore. • Hold membership in RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE or equivalent professional bodies. • Exhibit deep property or infrastructure project management expertise.
