Job Highlights
About the Role
You will work Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays, from 12:00 pm to 8:30 pm at our Eau Claire, WI hauling site repair and maintenance shop, providing predictable hours for a healthy work‑life balance. Each day you will diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel equipment and, at some locations, CNG trucks that serve over 20 million customers across the United States. Using modern tools and procedures, you will ensure trucks leave the shop ready to keep local communities moving. Safety is paramount; you will perform vehicle safety checks, follow OSHA‑compliant practices, and keep the work area clean while documenting parts usage and repair times. • Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems • Estimate time and material costs for repairs and parts • Perform work within Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs) • Respond to emergency breakdown service calls • Conduct vehicle safety checks • Complete paperwork documenting parts usage and repair times • Assist senior mechanics with project work • Review and assign repairs from Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports • Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA standards • Work in indoor garage/shop and outdoor conditions including inclement weather, heat, and humidity
