About the Role
KBR is seeking an Area Superintendent – Maintenance Head to ensure daily refinery maintenance activities—corrective, preventive and predictive for mechanical, I/E and rotating equipment—are performed in compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards to maintain sector availability, reliability and operational continuity. • Manage and lead overall department functions, direct employees, evaluate, coordinate, and ensure project tasks are completed on time per policies. • Participate in development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures and priorities. • Prepare, optimize and track preventive maintenance schedule of equipment, minimize breakdowns and ensure operational availability. • Manage day‑to‑day activities of welding & fabrication shop, scaffolding & insulation workshop, and heavy lift & rigging division; oversee planned or unplanned equipment repairs. • Allocate resources, equipment and machinery to site for routine and emergency situations. • Review work plans and job requests, prioritize resource allocation, monitor workflow, and resolve gaps and problems. • Review weekly plans and provide feedback to planning team to achieve schedule compliance. • Coordinate with internal departments, external workshops, and OEM dealers for repairs, parts, and issues. • Ensure all equipment and workshop facilities are maintained and meet HSE standards. • Conduct regular safety audits to identify hazards and implement corrective actions. • Manage and schedule EE’s safety and technical trainings. • Review daily, weekly and monthly maintenance performance reports, timesheets, KPIs, etc. • Respond promptly to emergencies and ensure incident/accident reporting.

What You Bring
The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, at least 12 years of refinery plant experience, knowledge of refinery equipment, experience with maintenance contracts, strong safety awareness, leadership, organization, communication skills, and the ability to work in a multicultural environment.
