About the Role

The primary function is to prepare detailed self‑perform operations (SPO) concrete estimates based on construction drawings and specifications. This includes quantity take‑offs, labor productivity rates, vendor pricing, bid assembly for various contract types, and risk identification. The role also involves schedule analysis, document management, constructability reviews, value analysis, scope reconciliation, and coordination of subcontractor proposals. Additional duties include leading kickoff meetings, managing post‑bid actions, and supervising estimating staff when needed. • Prepare detailed self‑perform concrete estimates, including quantity take‑offs and cost analysis. • Generate labor productivity rates using historical data and project constraints. • Develop and maintain vendor relationships to obtain competitive pricing. • Assemble bids and proposals for various contract types (Lump Sum, GMP, Cost‑Plus). • Identify design issues and project risks; propose solutions with the pre‑construction team. • Analyze project schedules for sequencing risk and create labor‑loaded schedules. • Manage document control for drawings, specifications, and stakeholder distribution. • Participate in constructability reviews and communicate issues with trades and designers. • Conduct value‑analysis studies to identify cost‑efficient alternatives. • Prepare scope requisitions and coordinate with the project team to eliminate gaps or overlaps. • Evaluate subcontractor proposals, maintain bid records, and assist in post‑bid reviews. • Manage post‑bid action items, finalize sub‑tier scopes, and recommend award decisions. • Lead kickoff meetings and transition estimates to operations teams. • Supervise estimating staff, assist in recruiting, onboarding, and performance appraisal.

What You Bring

Candidates must have at least three years of experience estimating concrete scopes, strong knowledge of building construction, materials, and market conditions, and the ability to read contracts, drawings, and specifications. Proficiency with estimating software such as InEight and the Microsoft Office suite, as well as solid project‑management, analytical, and communication skills, are required. The role demands limited travel and the ability to work both in an office environment and on construction sites. The position requires frequent sitting, computer use, and occasional mobility, with the ability to lift up to 10 lb regularly and up to 25 lb occasionally. Work is performed in office settings, on‑site construction locations, and occasional off‑site venues, with exposure to typical construction hazards and varying noise levels. All activities must comply with company safety policies and applicable laws. • Minimum three years' experience estimating concrete scopes; proficient with InEight and Microsoft Office. • Ability to read and interpret contracts, drawings, specifications, and schedules. • Strong project management, communication, and analytical skills. • Limited travel; ability to lift up to 25 lb and perform both office and site work.

Benefits
