About the Role

The Maintenance Technician A works under the guidance of a Lead Technician, Fleet Maintenance Supervisor, or Maintenance Manager to repair and maintain diesel and non‑diesel equipment and trucks. The role covers chassis components, refuse bodies, air brake systems, engines, HVAC, suspension, drivetrain and steering systems. Employees enjoy working on a single fleet of state‑of‑the‑art vehicles, receive training on new technologies, and benefit from a stable, regular‑shift environment. Key duties include advanced repair and maintenance of chassis components, refuse bodies (including control, hydraulic and electrical systems), air and hydraulic brakes, engines, suspension, drivetrain, steering, heating and air‑conditioning, and line‑maintenance welding and fabrication. Technicians use electronic diagnostic tools to identify malfunctions, complete required company training, and perform additional job‑related tasks as needed.

What You Bring

Applicants need at least three years of heavy‑duty truck experience and the ability to inspect and repair systems such as suspensions, steering, engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical, hydraulics, drivetrain, and diesel emissions with minimal supervision. ASE Heavy Truck certifications, LNG/CNG experience, and a Class B or higher commercial driver’s license are preferred but not mandatory. A valid driver’s license is required.
