About the Role
A Relief Driver (CDL B) safely operates a collection truck to provide prompt and courteous waste removal services while ensuring the vehicle meets all safety standards and complying with company, state, and federal regulations. The driver completes daily vehicle condition reports to address any defects promptly. • Perform pre‑ and post‑operation vehicle inspections and report safety issues. • Operate the heavy truck on assigned routes, read route sheets, and service customers. • Lift, load, and compact refuse using manual or automatic controls per safety policies. • Interact courteously with customers and dispatchers to ensure timely service. • Identify and tag unsatisfactory waste containers according to procedures. • Monitor waste for unacceptable material and report findings. • Clean accidental waste spills following safety standards. • Monitor vehicle condition continuously and clean packer blade and truck body as needed. • Complete route productivity sheets, VCRs, and other required reports. • Maintain productivity standards to service customers efficiently. • Follow all required safety policies and procedures. • Participate actively in the Company’s ReSOP program. • Deliver professional, courteous customer service with honesty and trustworthiness. • Adhere to work schedules and follow through on challenges. • Follow company policies, promote safety standards, and avoid inappropriate risks.

What You Bring
• Manage time effectively to complete responsibilities safely and efficiently. • Preferably have two years of commercial truck driving experience. • Hold a Class B (or higher) Commercial Driver’s License with air‑brake endorsement.
