About the Role
The senior engineer will collaborate with remediation project managers and other business lines, serve as Engineer of Record signing reports and regulatory documents, and act as Senior Project Engineer responsible for design, schedule, client liaison, and coordination. Responsibilities also include preparing designs, reports, specifications, and cost estimates for large‑scale civil and environmental projects, using CAD tools such as Autodesk Civil 3D, and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and add value for clients. • Collaborate with remediation team project managers and other AECOM business lines. • Serve as Engineer of Record, sealing and signing reports, drawings, specifications, and regulatory applications. • Act as Senior Project Engineer overseeing technical delivery, design, schedule, client liaison, and coordination. • Prepare designs, reports, specifications, and cost estimates for civil and environmental remediation projects, including excavation, landfill, dewatering, stormwater, permitting, and site restoration. • Utilize CAD applications, preferably Autodesk Civil 3D, for technical documentation. • Identify opportunities to increase project efficiency, improve methodologies, and add client value. • Mentor junior and mid‑level staff and certify experience for the Principles and Practice of Engineering exam.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a BA/BS in Civil Engineering with at least six years of relevant experience, be a licensed Professional Engineer in North Carolina (or an EIT aiming for PE), and possess a valid U.S. driver’s license that passes AECOM’s motor vehicle records review. Preferred qualifications include seven or more years at an engineering consulting firm, experience leading technical efforts on large projects, and OSHA 40‑hour HAZWOPER certification. • Hold a BA/BS in Civil Engineering with at least six years of related experience (or equivalent). • Possess a North Carolina Professional Engineer license (or be an EIT intending to obtain PE). • Maintain a valid U.S. driver’s license and pass AECOM’s motor vehicle records review. • Preferably have 7+ years consulting experience, lead technical efforts on large‑scale projects, and hold OSHA 40‑hour HAZWOPER certification.
