About the Role
We are now seeking a QAQC Engineer to join our team. This is a critical role and it will be responsible for facilitating best practices related to quality assurance. • Inspect sites before construction activities commence. • Review contractors' quality and testing submissions for contract compliance. • Attend and contribute to contractors' QA/QC meetings. • Assist in reviewing the Quality Management System. • Conduct training on QA/QC processes. • Report quality performance at construction meetings. • Coordinate with the client’s QA/QC representative for feedback. • Action and close all complaints. • Issue guidance to engineering staff to handle key issues. • Monitor close-out of non-conformances with engineering staff. • Produce and execute a QA/QC audit schedule for contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors. • Verify works are performed according to approved procedures. • Ensure quality records are current and properly filed. • Review contractor’s monthly QA/QC reports and submittals. • Ensure contractors conduct all tests per specification requirements. • Provide support and advice for external communications systems. • Supervise construction project tasks within established operational systems. • Follow HSE policies to identify and mitigate environmental and safety risks; instruct team in safe methods and address risky behaviors. • Assign short‑term work schedules to subordinates to meet timelines. • Communicate local action plans, motivate team, and align with organizational strategy. • Use performance management systems to improve personal and team performance; monitor, allocate work, and take corrective action. • Coach team members to develop skills. • Plan and coordinate testing and inspection of products and processes; implement corrective actions and continuous improvement. • Identify non‑compliance with policies or regulations, report and escalate as needed. • Assist senior colleagues in managing client and customer relationships using relevant systems.
