About the Role
The Field Sales Consultant role centers on self‑generating sales leads and delivering in‑home presentations of Sunrun’s solar products and services. Consultants focus on building genuine human connections to qualify solar as a viable energy solution for homeowners and their families. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy face‑to‑face interaction and working outdoors in the field. • Generate self‑sourced sales leads and set appointments with homeowners. • Deliver in‑home presentations on solar products, assess customer needs and build lasting relationships. • Manage the sales pipeline from prospect to installation, following up on all leads. • Accurately record outcomes and activity in the CRM system. • Achieve minimum sales targets established by leadership.

What You Bring
Success in this role requires developing effective sales strategies, providing an industry‑leading customer experience from initial contact through system activation, and managing the entire sales pipeline. Consultants must accurately track activities in the CRM and meet sales targets set by leadership. Candidates should have at least one year of sales or lead‑generation experience, be 21 years of age, hold a valid driver’s license with a clean record, and possess strong communication and teamwork skills. Flexibility to travel within the local market, work evenings and weekends, and comfortably use an iPad and multiple software applications—including a CRM—is essential. • At least 1 year of sales or lead‑generation experience; in‑home sales preferred. • Must be 21 years old, hold a valid driver’s license with a clean record. • Strong communication and teamwork skills; able to collaborate across functions. • Willingness to travel within the local market and work flexible hours, including evenings/weekends. • Comfortable using iPad/computer and multiple software applications; CRM experience a plus.
