About the Role

The trainer will deliver hands‑on parts training, develop and lead technical classes, utilize Caterpillar’s online training platform, and participate in parts department committees. • Provide hands‑on parts training to new and existing Milton CAT employees on product introductions, parts identification, ordering, warehouse procedures, hydraulic hose assembly, and safety practices. • Review and update training programs to incorporate the latest material, delivery methods, and industry trends. • Assign online classes through Caterpillar’s training website and report on employee completion. • Participate in Parts Department Procedure and Training Committees. • Develop and lead Parts Technical and Customer Service classes as assigned. • Instruct customers and second‑level dealers on online parts ordering capabilities.

What You Bring

Milton CAT is seeking an experienced trainer to be based in the Mass/Rhode Island region. The role involves identifying, developing, and providing training to employees and customers within the Milton CAT territory to improve overall technical competency of all team members. Successful candidates will have at least one year of parts counter experience, strong presentation and communication skills, proficiency with standard computer software, and the ability to develop and deliver training both in‑person and via e‑learning. A valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and willingness to travel to other Milton CAT locations using a company vehicle are required. • Minimum of one year parts counter experience (preferred). • Demonstrated ability to present new subjects and concepts to all employees. • Strong public speaking, presentation, and overall communication skills. • Proficient with computer software such as Microsoft Word and Excel. • Ability to develop training materials and utilize e‑learning platforms. • Detail‑oriented with high accuracy and a sense of urgency to exceed customer expectations. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and strong organizational skills. • Strong problem‑solving abilities. • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to use company vehicle for travel. • Willingness to travel to other Milton CAT locations as needed.

Benefits
