About the Role

In this role you will perform conventional and moderately complex engineering assignments, applying engineering techniques and analyses often using CAE/CAD applications. You will independently develop or supervise the creation of engineering products that meet customer quality requirements, including calculations, drawings, procurement documents, design packages, technical reports, and detailed analyses. Key duties include defining problems, establishing work scope, preparing budgets and schedules, providing technical direction, and reporting status. You will design wet utilities distribution systems such as potable water, firefighting, and irrigation networks, develop hydraulic models with Bentley WaterCAD/WaterGems/OpenUtilities, and ensure designs comply with Gulf region authority regulations. Additional responsibilities involve preparing technical and commercial life‑cycle cost analyses, supporting client presentations, and coordinating with authorities to obtain NOCs and design approvals. • Develop and supervise engineering products meeting customer quality standards. • Define project problems, scope, budget, schedule, and provide technical direction. • Design wet utilities distribution systems (potable water, firefighting, irrigation). • Create hydraulic models using Bentley WaterCAD, WaterGems, or OpenUtilities. • Perform load demand calculations and design pump station hydraulics. • Ensure compliance with Gulf region authority regulations (DEWA, ADDC, DM, etc.). • Prepare technical, commercial, and life‑cycle cost analyses of alternatives. • Support preparation of client presentations and project documentation. • Coordinate with authorities to obtain NOCs and design approvals.

Engineers must be versatile, enthusiastic, and possess strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills. Required qualifications are a Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Hydraulics, Water, or Environmental Engineering and a minimum of five years’ experience in wet utilities projects, preferably in GCC countries. Candidates must be proficient in CAD (Civil 3D) and Bentley WaterCAD/WaterGems/OpenUtilities, and possess strong English speaking and writing skills. Desired experience includes familiarity with British and American codes, knowledge of DEWA/DM regulations for potable water and irrigation designs, and a proven track record of liaising with local authorities to secure NOCs and design approvals. • Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Hydraulics/Water/Environmental Engineering. • Minimum 5+ years experience in wet utilities projects, preferably GCC. • Proficiency with CAD (Civil 3D) and Bentley WaterCAD/WaterGems/OpenUtilities. • Strong English communication skills, both spoken and written. • Familiarity with British and American codes and DEWA/DM regulations. • Experience liaising with local authorities for design approvals.
