About the Role
The Production Supervisor role at Zekelman Industries, located on the second shift in Rochelle, IL, coordinates labor assignments and oversees employee development while maintaining safe and efficient plant operations. Key duties include developing work schedules and action plans to meet production goals, hiring and coaching staff to build high‑performing teams, delegating tasks and generating daily operation reports, partnering with Quality to verify customer and quality standards, monitoring inventory cycles and flagging maintenance needs, and leading safety initiatives in line with regulatory and company policies. • Develop work schedules and action plans to achieve production goals and improve efficiency. • Hire, coach, and evaluate staff to build a high‑performing team. • Delegate tasks, generate daily operation reports, and ensure shift continuity. • Collaborate with Quality to conduct site and equipment checks meeting customer standards. • Monitor cycle counts, maintain accurate inventory records, and flag maintenance issues. • Lead safety initiatives, document injuries, and recommend corrective actions.

What You Bring
Candidates should have at least three years of supervisory experience in manufacturing or a warehouse setting, an associate degree focused on management or supervision, and proficiency with Microsoft Office, MES and SAP systems. Strong decision‑making, problem‑solving, conflict‑resolution, communication, leadership, and time‑management skills are essential, along with a commitment to full‑time, on‑site attendance. • Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in manufacturing or warehouse environments. • Associate degree emphasizing management or supervision. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and shop‑floor systems such as MES and SAP. • Strong decision‑making, problem‑solving, and conflict‑resolution abilities. • Excellent communication, leadership, and time‑management skills. • Ability to maintain regular, full‑time on‑site attendance.
