About the Role

• Lead feasibility studies, advise on procurement strategy, select contracts, and prepare detailed procurement reports. • Oversee estimating and cost planning, own and present final cost plans using value management techniques. • Manage the full procurement cycle, including pre‑qualification, enquiries, analysis, selection, and contract preparation. • Supervise preparation and execution of contract documents, warranties, bonds, licences, and provide contract administration advice. • Ensure effective cost control, work valuation, monthly post‑contract reporting, and identify cost impacts of design changes and construction activities. • Evaluate contractor claims for delays and additional costs, and advise on certificates for defects, practical completion, and final account agreements. • Lead and develop a team of Cost Consultants through coaching, mentoring, performance management, and drive improvements in systems and processes. • Manage senior stakeholders, build strong internal and external relationships, implement continuous improvement initiatives, and support net‑zero carbon transition goals. • Create opportunity – foster continuous improvement, inspire people and teams to develop and excel.

What You Bring

This secured role is scheduled to commence in May, subject to approval. Candidates interested in being considered should click to apply. • Degree in quantity surveying or cost management (or equivalent). • Professional membership such as MRICS/RICS (or equivalent) and progress toward fellowship or demonstrable professional development. • Strong commercial and financial acumen. • Knowledge of value engineering, life‑cycle costing, contract law, and construction contractual frameworks. • Experience managing parts of projects within large, diverse teams. • Experience managing relationships with senior stakeholders.
