What You Bring
This is the first level of the Engineering classification. It provides engineering or technical expertise to solve problems in a specific area of expertise, with close supervision. Incumbents are expected to develop skills in their field of study and gradually work with greater independence. • Hold a bachelor’s degree from an EAC/ABET‑accredited engineering program (or equivalent advanced degree or NCEES‑evaluated credentials). • Understand basic engineering theories, principles, electricity, and power quality. • Communicate effectively in writing and speaking with diverse individuals. • Know distribution construction standards and methods. • Demonstrate self‑motivation, ability to work independently, teamwork, customer orientation, and multitask leadership. • Pass the Engineering Fundamentals Exam (desired). • Understand basic project‑management principles (desired). • Possess experience in the utility industry (desired).
