About the Role
Based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, the Civil Engineer – Infrastructure & Dry Utilities role focuses on overseeing civil construction activities, particularly road and utility services. The engineer will coordinate efforts with the Resident Engineer, ensure construction consistency, and manage daily documentation and reporting. • Supervise site civil works, including road, infrastructure, and dry utility projects. • Review shop drawings, design proposals, method statements, material submittals, and RFIs for road and related works. • Maintain daily diaries and compile reports from subordinate staff. • Coordinate scheduling and resource allocation with the Contractor. • Lead and monitor performance of the construction team (site engineers, inspectors, surveyors). • Liaise with the Resident Engineer, Contractor, and authorities to ensure progress, safety, and quality. • Oversee site safety, enforce safety procedures, and comply with risk‑management requirements. • Conduct inspections, measure work progress, and prepare progress reports. • Verify and complete as‑built drawings for the assigned discipline.

What You Bring
Applicants should possess a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and a decade of relevant post‑graduate experience in supervising large‑scale infrastructure and dry‑utility projects, preferably within the Gulf region. Strong analytical, technical, and communication abilities, together with proficiency in engineering software, are essential. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. • Minimum of ten years post‑graduate experience in site supervision and construction management of major infrastructure and dry utilities projects. • Demonstrated experience supervising general infrastructure projects, preferably in the Gulf region. • Ability to review and justify material submissions, technical reports, and execute testing and quality assurance per project specifications. • Proficient with computer applications and engineering/construction software. • Excellent written and spoken English with strong technical communication skills.
