About the Role

The Driver – CDL (B) safely operates a collection truck to provide prompt, courteous, and complete waste removal services for customers. The role includes ensuring the vehicle meets the company’s safety standards before each shift and adhering to all company, state, and federal regulations while driving. Key responsibilities include performing comprehensive pre‑ and post‑operation vehicle inspections—checking tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls—and reporting any safety issues. The driver follows the assigned route sheet, operates manual or automatic controls to lift, load, and compact refuse, and disposes of material at the designated facility. Interactions with customers, dispatchers, and coworkers are conducted courteously to ensure timely service, while unsatisfactory waste containers are identified, tagged, and waste spills are cleaned in compliance with safety policies. The driver also monitors vehicle condition, cleans waste from the packer blade and truck body, completes route productivity sheets, vehicle condition reports (VCRs), and other required documentation, maintaining productivity standards and participating in the ReSOP safety program.

What You Bring

Strong customer service skills, effective time management, and the ability to follow through on tasks are essential. The driver must act professionally, uphold honesty and trustworthiness, adhere to company policies, promote safety standards, avoid inappropriate risks, and maintain pride in their work. The minimum qualification is a Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s License with an air‑brake endorsement. Applicants must possess a valid CDL (B) and meet all related licensing requirements.
