About the Role
• Perform complex technical and administrative tasks in contract compliance, QC, and QA inspection of mechanical scope. • Analyze codes, standards, and contract documents; monitor construction to ensure compliance. • Interpret and clarify contract documents for contractors. • Prepare and maintain records such as progress reports, material accounting, change orders, and record drawings. • Supervise and assist the mechanical engineer and inspection team. • Conduct weekly coordination meetings with inspectors and the mechanical engineer. • Ensure contractor responses meet contract requirements and collaborate with the Project Engineer to resolve issues. • Audit inspections for conformity with contract documents and contractor plans. • Support the Senior Discipline Engineer in addressing technical issues to maintain schedule. • Issue non‑conformance reports (NCRs) for construction or engineering violations. • Attend progress and coordination meetings to help resolve drawing discrepancies and site issues. • Coordinate snagging and project handover, providing expert advice to the Resident Engineer/Team Lead. • Liaise with the Design Engineer on required modifications. • Deliver daily site reports and highlight emerging issues to the Project Lead. • Contribute to preparation of various project reports as directed. • Monitor health and safety; stop work when unsafe practices are observed. • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.

What You Bring
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (Master’s preferred). • Possess 13+ years of mechanical engineering experience, including 7+ years in construction supervision for B&P projects. • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and BIM tools. • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, building codes, and construction methodologies. • Familiarity with ASHRAE, NFPA, and LEED standards is a plus. • Demonstrate excellent leadership, team management, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
