About the Role

The senior civil engineer will support the growth of the land development engineering department by handling project design and permitting, performing calculations, and ensuring compliance with relevant FDEP, WMD, and local codes. The role also involves managing and communicating with project teams, clients, and agencies, conducting site visits as needed, and attending external meetings. • Design and permit land development projects while ensuring compliance with FDEP, WMD, and local codes. • Perform engineering calculations and prepare project documentation. • Manage communication with project teams, clients, and regulatory agencies. • Conduct site visits and attend external meetings as required. • Navigate rough and uneven terrain, and perform physical tasks such as climbing, stooping, and crawling.

What You Bring

Candidates must have at least eight years of land‑development engineering experience, three years of project‑management experience, and a bachelor’s degree in civil or agricultural engineering. A Florida PE license, proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil3D, and experience in stormwater and utilities are required, as well as passing a mandatory DMV check. The position requires indoor and outdoor work, often in wet, humid, dusty, noisy, or extreme temperature conditions, and involves extensive field activity such as long‑term standing, frequent walking, and navigating rough terrain. Physical demands include carrying up to 30 lb regularly (up to 50 lb occasionally), standing for 10‑12 hours a day, and performing various motions such as climbing, stooping, and crawling; weekend, overtime, overnight work, and travel may also be required. • Possess at least 8 years of land development engineering experience. • Have minimum 3 years of project management experience. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in civil or agricultural engineering and a Florida PE license. • Demonstrate proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil3D. • Bring stormwater and utility design experience. • Pass mandatory DMV background check. • Carry/push/pull up to 30 lb regularly and up to 50 lb occasionally; stand 10‑12 hours daily. • Be available for weekend, overtime, overnight work, and travel.
