About the Role

Lead and coordinate the daily activities of a production team to ensure smooth processes, meet quality standards, and adhere to safety measures. The role includes completing AAON’s Production Leader Program, assigning tasks, mentoring, motivating, and collaborating with management to meet production targets while allocating labor, equipment, and materials. Responsibilities cover monitoring quality control, investigating production issues, enforcing safety protocols, conducting safety training and audits, identifying and implementing process improvements, and maintaining accurate inventory levels in coordination with inventory control. • Complete AAON’s Production Leader Program. • Lead and assign tasks to a production team while providing guidance. • Mentor and motivate team members to maximize productivity and quality. • Collaborate with management to achieve production targets. • Allocate labor, equipment, and materials to support the production plan. • Monitor and enforce quality control processes. • Investigate and resolve production and quality issues promptly. • Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations. • Conduct safety training, audits, and recommend improvements. • Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement efficiency enhancements. • Maintain accurate inventory of raw materials and finished goods. • Coordinate with inventory control to minimize waste and optimize stock levels. • Generate regular reports on productivity, quality, and efficiency metrics. • Provide updates to management regarding production status and challenges.

What You Bring

The position requires generating regular performance reports, updating management on production status, and meeting education and experience criteria such as a high school diploma/GED and preferably three years in manufacturing, along with strong knowledge of production processes, quality, safety, communication, problem‑solving, organization, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and production software; ability to obtain a 608 universal refrigerant certification is also needed. Work involves physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lb, standing, bending, and exposure to extreme temperatures, noise, dust, chemicals, and forklift traffic, with required PPE and drug/alcohol testing; AAON is a leader in HVAC innovation and sustainability, offering a mission‑driven environment. • Hold a high school diploma/GED and preferably three years of manufacturing experience. • Demonstrate strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, and safety regulations. • Exhibit excellent communication, problem‑solving, organizational, and time‑management skills. • Proficient in Microsoft Office and production management software. • Ability to obtain and maintain 608 universal refrigerant certification. • Able to lift up to 50 lb, stand, bend, and work in environments with extreme temperatures, noise, dust, chemicals, and heavy forklift traffic while wearing required PPE.
