About the Role

Inspectors ensure compliance with environmental regulations for linear construction activities, which can include federal land management, oil and gas development, transportation, water resources, renewable energy, mining, habitat restoration, wildfire monitoring, and watershed studies. They supervise installation and maintenance of BMPs, erosion control devices, and environmental exclusion areas, and use topographic maps, GPS units, aerial photographs, and other tools in the field. They also take responsibility for team safety by developing safety plans and anticipating hazards. • Perform environmental compliance inspections for linear construction projects across various sectors (e.g., infrastructure, energy, mining). • Supervise installation and maintenance of BMPs, erosion control devices, and exclusion areas. • Utilize topographic maps, GPS, aerial photos, and other field tools for site assessments. • Develop and implement safety plans, ensuring team safety and identifying hazards.

What You Bring

Candidates need at least one year of experience inspecting linear construction projects, familiarity with right‑of‑way inspections, soil erosion control, BMP installation, and agricultural mitigation plans.
